Teen patti ("three cards"), often called Indian poker, is India’s favourite card game, a cousin of the British game three card brag. Each player gets three cards and bets on having the best hand, blind or after looking. Players drop out (pack) along the way, and the last player left, or the best hand at the show, wins the pot.
No. Everyone plays with virtual chips that are only for keeping score, and they cannot be bought or cashed out. Team Teen Patti is a free game for friends, families and office teams.
It is completely free, with no sign-up and no app to install. It runs in any browser on Android, iPhone, iPad or a computer, so friends just open the invite link or enter the code.
Host a table and you get a 4-digit code and a QR code. Friends scan the QR with their phone camera, open the invite link, or type the code on the homepage. One pack seats up to 8 players; two packs shuffled together seat up to 14.
You can play blind (without looking at your cards) or seen. A blind player bets the current stake, or doubles it to raise; a seen player bets twice the stake, or four times to raise. Blind is cheaper, but you are betting without knowing your hand.
A show is called when only two players are left: the player asking pays one more bet and both hands are compared. A sideshow lets a seen player ask the seen player just before them to compare cards privately when three or more are still in. If they accept, the lower hand packs; on a tie, the player who asked packs.
